I would agree with you, but you'd probably insult me for not enjoying villian/villian pairings, either. In the hopes of having a civil conversation:

What do you think of genfics in which the heroes and villians actually talk to each other for once? Wherein the villians put some doubts into the heroes' hearts about the worthiness of their cause, and vice versa.

Fics like that piss me off. Any villain fan worth their salt knows the heroes would do anything to trick the villains and hurt them. There is no such thing as civil conversation between enemies.
