Oh, what an awful experience! I hate when they seem insensitive to your embarrassment! You did give them warning, and they ignored it!! I hope you don't ever have to go through that again!!
One thing I will say for my recent test; the people there are COMPLETELY tuned in to keeping you comfortable (hot blankets wrapped around you while your waiting your turn in a Johnie and flimsy gown) and reminding you that gas in your intestines will be normal after, so just 'push it out'.
I'm glad the results were worth it! I'll say prayers for your surgery!
I always find it weird that there's one or two women in the room when the doc is looking up my undersides. I know why they're there and I approve, but I always feel like I should introduce myself so they can at least put a name to the private parts. "Oh hi! We've never laid eyes on each other and you get to watch!" *snerk*

Yeah, I get the feeling that by the time I'm actually in labor, they'll have been so many different people up in my bits GETTING to that point that I'll have no qualms just inviting random passersby in to check on things, lol.
