This story incorporates every single wonderful thing that my fangirl heart has wished for for, let's see, two whole seasons??? Remember my last post when I said there were writers here who write stories as if they reside in my head??? Well, this is irrefutable proof that YOU are one such writer.

This just made me grin from ear to ear, thannnkkk youuu!! <333 You should work more on your stories, I'd really love to read what you've talked about! :)

The things that really stood out for me are: Damon actually standing up for himself and letting Elena feel the weight of her prior actions where he's concerned, Elena's process of her actions finally making her realize that she truly wants to be with Damon (which is so like her), Damon being close but not accessible being the catalyst for Elena to finally, finally get some clarity about how important he is to her, Damon calling her on it when she voices her opinion that it doesn't have to be
