Think "Dharma and Greg," just with more martial arts and explosives.

This line cracked me up, by the way. :)

Your description of tim made me remember why I fell in love with the kid a year and a half ago. Oh man, Timmy. Perfect enunciation of what does and does not make Tim/Cass tick. *thumbs up*

And I realize I am entirely without a Gotham icon, so we get the closest icon I have to applicable. *laugh*

Glad you liked it!

I think I'm probably going to hell for comparing Dharma and Cass, but the analytical/visceral thing Dharma and Greg have is quite similar, in its own way, to Tim and Cass'.

Crap, now I'm thinking about Dharma/Cass...

Greatest crackslash pairing ever.

Also, this essay rocked. Your understanding of Tim alone is enough to make your instant lifelong fan and ally.

Rock on.

What a lovely pairing! You did such a tremendous job of showing who Tim and Cassandra are so that even a DC ignoramus like myself could see not only why they worked but why they matter as individual charatcers, not "knockoffs of sidekicks". Great job.

Thanks! They are very interesting characters, and thinking, talking and writing about them is a lot of fun *g*.

You know, before DC I was always a die-hard slasher with few exceptions, but I'm finding more and more interesting het pairings out there, and you've described why this is one of them. Good job.

Thanks!

Curiously, I went more or less the other way: before getting into the DCU, slashy readings were a possibility that just didnt cross my mind - if nothing else, fandom has been an education *g*.

very cool essay! I don't know much about Cass, so your section on her was really helpful.

Just as his relationship with Kon-El will be in many ways as pivotal to the DCU as that of Superman and Batman, Tim and Cassandra's relationship will to a degree determinate the legacy of the Batman.

This is one of my favorite parts. I'd never thought about it in that way before, but you're spot-on.

Glad you liked it! Predicting the future with DC is always a chancy proposition at best, but in Teen Titans 20's future, at least, Tim and Kon's relationship seemed a keystone of Tim!Batman's handling of the Titans, so I went from there. Cass' role in Gotham is so far more restricted, but with the givens of age and talent, barring some disaster, I think she should end as one of the key players in the city, specially as she gets more confident outside the Batgirl persona.

Coming to this a little late, I still feel the need to tell you that it is glorious.

There's no late when it comes to feedback! Specially when you phrase it like that *g*. Thanks!
