Thanks so much for taking the time to read this! I was expecting mostly flames on this pairing choice, hahaha, since they're so unconventional. I'm glad you can see the appeal, as well :D

Well, while EVERYONE here already knows what I think about Rysten, let me be one of the first to tell you how great this manifesto is! You brought out the best Rysten moments there were to choose from. And while we never got to see their relationship blossom into anything sexual on the show, that's what makes fic writing so much dang fun!

But their relationship was so much more than physical, and that's what made it beautiful. They had a chemistry and bond that is rarely found in modern day television characters.

Good job on a great piece of literature!

Awww, thanks babe! I totally procrastinated my ass off on this thing, bwahaha. Until the day before my due date, and bam. Cranked it out. So, I'm glad to hear it turned out okay :)

And I totally agree -- the physical spark was what attracted all of us in the first place, but the depth of that bond, and that chemistry is SO rarely seen it kept us all pretty much hypnotized.

Ahh, the power of Rysten :D :D :D

This is my alltime favorite pairing, because I will freely and unashamedly admit that I have a huge crush on Kelly Rowan. She was pretty much the only reason I watched The O.C.
Rysten knows no bounds because they are two souls united, forever.

OMG me too, I just adore Kelly Rowan! She's so cute.

And yes, I agree -- Rysten, two souls united as one, forever.

They might just be my alltime favorite pairing too because of just how complex the soulmate-ness is. *sigh*

I'd like to add that Season 3 firmly set me in the Rysten camp, because Sandy was becoming too much like Caleb for my tastes.

As for the complexity of Rysten being soulmates, love isn't worth the effort if it isn't at least a little complicated.

Lastly, one idea I had if anyone else who checks this community is an AU where Ryan isn't some kid that Sandy brings home, but a competitor for Kirsten's affections. (Pre-Kandy, slightly post-Kirsten/Jimmy.) I had never seen that idea anywhere before, and it would be interesting to see if anyone could make anything out of that.

You did a really great job with this! Like so many other people are saying, I had never really considered Rysten before. I was a big fan of the O.C. and I was never really opposed to any of the couples but I never really shipped any of them. I just always accepted Kirsten/Sandy and I never really though much of it. Rysten seems to be the perfect O.C. couple I was always looking for. I've been reading a few of your fics and I'm hooked! Fantastic job!

I tried to accept Kirsten and Sandy because they truly were endearing in the very beginning of the series, but like with all the other ships, they just got kind of "stale" to me, whereas Rysten kept evolving and changing, and they kept getting closer. It just started to make more sense than anything else -- much like Rufus and Lily on Gossip Girl. :)
