The Sokka/Suki Manifesto

Sokka/Suki is a largely misunderstood ship. Most people only ship it because Princess Yue is dead, or because they feel there is no feasible alternative (we’ ( Read more... )

Yes! Its about time some made a manifesto for this ship...even if it is a little shorter than most. But you defenitely nailed the major points very well.

This is a nice Essay you have here. I personally have always liked this paring (too tired right now to write more about, I
might come back later and post more).

All in all great job.

I've been meaning to write something about this for a while, but I hadn't gotten around to it. This is a truly beautiful manifesto for one of my favorite pairings on Avatar. You sum up the beauty and depth of this well thought out, but often ignored ship perfectly.

Yay for late responses!

I really love how this is put together, and you made some very god points that I never really thought of! Like, the whole "Suki being almost angry about her gender" thing; WOW! It really makes sense, now that I look at it!

As for the Fandom section, yay I'm mentioned! my favorite story is one called Dichotomy on FFN. Very good read, and lots of Sukka growth!

Also, on a final note, now that S3 has started and we've been given vague info on Suki, which led to Sokka's famous first on screen cry, besides the 115 flashback do you find significance in the fact that he cried for Suki, and not Yue? (No response is required, but it'd be cool.)

Once again, great job! This whole thing made me about 200% more Sukka driven! :D

Thank you so much! Dichotomy is great but I didn't feel right putting it it until I read it to the full update.

I think If Azula knew about Yue she would taunt him about her. But it was Suki who she had captured, and the one with the connection. So many plot bunnies...And darn it If I wasn't in the middle of another Suki story I would write it.

I think it shows how much this girl means to him. No question in my mind he loves her. He loves her so much it hurts. This girl who has always been a warrior who can hold her own. I doubt he even let himself consider the possibility she was hurt until then. At the very idea that she's hurt he just snaps. It proves the way he feels to the doubters...and somewhere out there I bet Suki feels the same.

GREAT manifesto. ♥ I love this pairing, it seems so neglected in fandom compared to others.
