Good job! Makes me sad that I'm so far behind with Batman that I don't really know Leslie. When was she introduced? Was she always part of the universe?

She was first introduced in the 70's, but was little more than the old lady that Batman would visit in Crime Alley.

Her character was completely changed Post-Crisis, though, so anything before 1986 is no longer canon for her. Her first Post-Crisis appearance was in Batman: Year Two.

Technically, she has always been part of the universe. She was the first to find Bruce after his parents were murdered.

Wonderful overview! Enjoyed the scans taken from the comic books.

"Having seen two people so devoted to doing their duties, rather than devoting themselves to each other, could have caused a young Bruce to decide duty was more important than anything else." Interesting idea. I wonder if Bruce's life would have turned out significantly different. Would be an interesting basis for an AU Fic.
