Okay, the good news is that it's not a fractured wrist...or tendonitis.

The bad news? They don't know what it is. It could be just an extremely bruised wrist (the doctor said it could even be "gamer's wrist"; odd, as I don't play enough games and most game controllers beyond the SNES are ergonomically designed anyway
