I also really wasn't expecting any Jaemin (I didn't read the pairing list under title until now). I thought Jaejoong and Changmin were going to work out their issues through brotherly bonding. I like it though, especially Changmin's attitude.
That scene did make me think about Jaejoong's vows and how that will affect his futue relationship with Yunho. It's going to be difficult.
I like how you brought up how Yunho never seemed to think beyond conquering. Conquering a kingdom is one thing, but ruling it is a whole different matter. Yunho needs to learn how to be a good king and remain uncorrupted by his power.
I'm glad Junsu finally showed up!
And the last line is so ominous
"The North remembers."
It gave me shivers.

I really contemplated throwing the JaeMin in here, but since I'm trying to capture the feel and themes of the books in balance to the characters from kpop-verse..well, it made a whole lot of sense to me anyway. Plus we gotta build all these other themes (including the ruling vs. conquering bit) on top of these convoluted relationships and everything will be a horrible mess and it will be GLORIOUS. 8D
"The North remembers" is my favorite line from the fifth book, and since that one poster came out, I've just been dying to use it. :PP

I like the way you made the DBSK characters flow with the book atmosphere, it's really well done!
I really didn't expect the appearance of the Maester, though it was a good step to set an "alliance" between the Nord and the South. Jaejoong is boss.
Jaemin got over their misunderstanding! I like that phrase "but Kim Jaejoong was only a man", do i sense future conflicts between his duty and his feelings?
And just wondering, do you plan on torturing your readers like that troll of an author? Haha i am so ready xD
/now back to spazzing over the Jaemin and oh lord, i'm having visions of Yunho in Dothraki fashion **/

I'm glad the characterization is working out for you! I had to really push what I thought they'd turn out to be under different circumstances and I was afraid I'd gone too far. Have to confess though, VoldeJae is kind of my guilty pleasure. XD

LOL YOU SILLY, how could I possibly leave out such a delicious conflict and not troll my readers after learning from the master? I usually try not to have cliffhangers though? I mean, no promises, but generally I try to wrap scenes up? So I'm only a little troll. :P

Seems like all the Kim siblings except Kanglin survives.
I guess the North is more hardy and have better survival instincts.
I wonder if Jaejoong brought the Master to win Yunho's favour or because he thought of himself needing his own family.

Haha, I suppose that's true, but hey if G.R.R.M. lets a character live, we just thank our lucky stars and keep hoping, haha.
I think for this purpose, it was a matter of two-birds-one-stone for Jaejoong, although in my headcanon, he genuinely cared for the maester. :)
