Since I drew Urahara's face, I've had the urge to draw a bunch of portraits now. Well I'm not one to deny my urges, so I tried to draw Ichigo.

I love to draw eyes, and I'm glad you mentioned the shading. I struggled with shading for the longest time, but I think I've got it down now.

I have to say, for your style it's translated quite well and it's only a few thing that are a bit wonky (not in the normal sense of not straight but as in a bit off).

And you are talking about Kyouraku Shunsui? Oooh, can't wait for that one. ^_^
