I like this. Jack, the Doctor and Rose are nicely in character, and I do like Jack's comment to Rose about making a habit of falling from the sky :) Very like the Doctor, too, to be mysterious about the Rani, and I like Jack's concern for his well-being.

I did find the song titles very distracting, to the point that I almost clicked back without reading beyond the first segment. I had to force myself to ignore them and just read on. Personally, I think the story's presentation would be improved if you replaced the titles with plain scene breaks; if you want to list the titles somewhere, then you could include them at the end. (Are song titles really of much interest to readers?)

*nods* They're only there because that's how they were split up when I was writing it (since it's timed by how long the song is). Actually, I'm surprised that all those bits ended up connected as well as they did. I think I just might add them in.

Oooh, this was very intriguing! You really captured their confusion well in this, and I liked the back and forth switching between POVs. I also thought all of the character voices came through really well. Jack bantering about in a time of uncertainty is very much his style. As was the Doctor's frustration and gruffness. Rose, as always, is a soothing force for those she's around, even if she's frantic and bewildered.

This was really lovely, dear! I very much enjoyed it!

lovely story you tell it with nice pace and i didn't get lost who's what etc. Definitely heard the voices of the beloveds--always a good sign.
