So, big hullabaloo (hee, fun word) about DC doing a reboot come Fall. I could count the reasons this is making me giggle, but my most recent thought before I fall asleep is: this will all go down while I'm Italy. XD

Heee their PR write made me LOL. It was... not so good a write up IMHO. My reaction to the whole concept, and the most that I've seen so far, is "Diversity? Sounds nice but I'll believe it when I see it." Which I think is pretty even headed when dealing with a company who thinks green people = diversity =P

Personally, I'd like Garth back, and Tula, and Dolphin. They need to be a threesome and all raising Cerdian. I'd also like Dick to look a little less like a 100% Anglo white boy if, you know, that's not what he is.

A few other things too but honestly, I don't keep up enough with DC to be that moved beyond loling at the write up. It's like OH LOOK! DC is gonna change their universe again and think this is epic!

Russia is cute. I want to get into it but I think I'd want more black humor/historical satire than it has and I'd be one of thise people bitching about it not being what I want.

But guh, Russia makes me laugh.

DC has Cyborg on the Justice League as part of the rebooted universe. The Avengers have their token Luke Cage, not that he matters much because the real ticket is in the All White "Classic" Avengers that features Thor, Tony and Cap. DC has the new and improved Aqualad, while Marvel has Eli Bradley. DC may have dropped the ball with Static, but Marvel can't even be bothered to sell Rhodey's book under his own name. It has to be under the white dude's name. Iron Man 2.0. Oh, that's clever and progressive, except not

See, my feeling on this, from what they've already started to do and the mind set Geoff Johns seems to have, diversity ain't happening. I kept getting the feeling they want the Golden Age back. :/ Now THAT'LL be diverse.

Other than that, I'm not going to hold my breath for getting anyone back that has anything that has to do with the Titans. They really have proven to me that they don't give a fuck about a team that used to have the book that was the best selling book they had for years.

See, the great thing about Hetalia is that the fics can give you plenty of black humor/historical satire if you look for it. And the comic strips can get a bit blacker than the episodes.

I'm from Greece and I don't know how things work in Italy, but here we usually get our comics with a ten days delay. Tops two weeks, but not more. Again, I don't know about Italy, but here dl-ing is still free so I'm getting my comics faster than a lot US fans :P

Yes, I'm bad, but I can't wait two weeks to read them.

Wow. They translate all those comics that fast? Maybe Italy just has a different system. Actually, considering their bureaucracy, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same for comics. XD *loves Italy, but gah, consulate hours were short, and it's like that in Italy too*

Haha, I wouldn't wait either, especially if I had plenty of friends in America reading them. XD

We don't translate comics. I mean we do, but not all and we (readers) don't buy them. It takes 2 weeks for the comics to come here from US/UK/Japan/EU (other than Greece).

*shrugs* They only announced a reboot. There's nothing said other than that, and it's being blown outta proportion. XD It's fuuuunny.
