Well, I've Never Banned Anyone Other Than a Spambot Before...

Okay, so I've never said it here, but I figure most of you know I never really liked eternal_moonie. He tended to set off one of my pet peeves. ("Oh, I'm commenting on YOUR fic, but I'm going to mention MY fic because YOU should read it.") I never replied back to his comments unless it was to even out my comment count on a fic post (since I have an OCD thing ( Read more... )

Good on you! I haven't banned him yet, mostly b/c I'm lazy, but the more I hear from other folks on my f-list, the more I'm considering it.

*snugs you tight*

*Sighs and headdesks* I so don't blame you. He's done the comment tit for tat thing to me, until I told him that his stories seriously squick me (they do and sometimes verge on triggering me).

Sadly, I can easily see him doing that. He's got absolutely no sense of personal boundaries and very little responsibility, I'm afraid.

I've contemplated banning him and deliberately haven't added him on DW (He's Liquidtears over there FYI) because I'm so uncomfortable with him.

Thanks for letting us know about this, Gloria!

ETA: And I just saw the edit. *more headdesk* He's done exactly this to me in the past, multiple times despite my telling him what he did. *sigh!*

Ugh, it's like he thinks reviewing everyone will get him reviews. It makes me question if he's actually reading, because he DOES tend to give very generic comments on fics. >:/

You're welcome, hun. Sorry about the slight misinformation, but I didn't delete that part since I figured it's something he WOULD have done, had the thought crossed his mind. *scowl*

Ugh. I hate people that have no respect for triggers. I don't really have any to speak of, but if someone disrespected my LEGITIMATE problem with something, I'd so be out for blood. >:O

I honestly don't think that he does read the majority of what he comments on. There are some stories and some themes in specific stories that he obviously does read but most of the comments ... probably are just comment to make it seem like he read. And he likes EVERYTHING EVER WRITTEN EVER BY ANYONE, which is another clue. :/

No problem. I seriously can see him doing it. He's got a whole bunch of self-insert stories so I truly think he would have no issues with doing that with someone else's life.

*nods* I'm lucky that mine aren't too bad but he's got one series that just gets me every time. Hell, by this point just seeing the damn title makes me cringe. >.>

*makes a face* That's just stupid. I don't see the point in that.

:/ I mean, really. Either thing is pretty shitty.

*hugs* I'm sorry. What a disrespectful little shit.

Hmm... I have never seen this person.

On the other hand, I'm starting to see a lot of interesting self-differentiation between fanfiction and "real" literature, in which there's unusual delineations between what is safe material and what is not.

Er, well. Anyway... his journal has a very odd look to it.

That's good. He's mostly from DC Comics fandom. Probably other fandoms too, but I never really looked at extensive at his journal. I never even looked at his fic since he pissed me off by asking me to read it at the wrong time. (I mean, who the hell offhandedly MENTIONS their fic when I'm PMing them to them oh yeah, your friend that made an icon post for you? Yeah, totally stole MY icons to make that post. Credit me if you use said icons. *was pissed*)

The great thing about fanfiction (or at least one of the great things) is you can interact with the author. This SHOULD mean reading things should be safe because it's likely you'll know the author. You might not care per say if you trigger a stranger, but you wouldn't want to do that to a friend, right? It's just disconcerting when someone among us just doesn't seem to care when the rest of us do.

That's one way to put it. XD

*shakes her head* Luckily, my Facebook isn't connected to this journal in anyway.

Seriously? Ugh. I knew there was something up when Rex told me it was a chick. I knew that he wasn't one. *scowl*
