I did something to my laptop last night (AKA hiiii there mister virus, I think and everything goes kinda safe mode). I did a full system restore with a back up file. I think I need to run a virus scan on my files... Any free programs you guys can suggest? AVG links too, because I'm failing on that front, and I'm all frazzled at the moment

I'm sorry I can't help (hello, I'm a Mac and I'm dumb because of it), but isn't it funny how, at this point, I would rather someone rummage through my drawers and in my bedroom or medicine cabinet then have them look at my hard-drive?

I have a pact with a friend that if either of us die (knock on wood) that we will wipe each others hard drives before our parents get to them.

I second Malware bytes, and it runs in safe mode in Windoes which I have founf to be helpful in getting some nasty carp out of systems.

When I had to save my computer, the tech guy put Avast security on it. I've never heard of it before then, but it's worked like a charm.
