Jesus has risen again, so the gospel says...

Wow, it's been awhile. My computer has been packed up in a box for the past four months, so this is my first time using the internet AT ALL since the first week of autumn. For the few of you who still don't know why I've been offline so long, there's good news to share with you. At the end of October, I moved out into my own apartment! For the ( Read more... )

Welcome back, man.

Damn... THAT close to Mitsuwa?
I'm dying here in Indy (well, Fishers) with the lack of Asian yummies to buy (no bakery and crappy groceries) and Rob is willing to drive to Chi-town for a weekend o' fun.

Just let me know when you two ever wanna come down here. We can paint the town red, or blue, or mauve. Steve and I have been talking about that, how you live so much closer now and should try to make trips out here every so often. And speaking of that, I hope you guys can make it for Acen. It's always good times, and so many people from outta-town always come. Even JT is gonna be there this year!

The old, non-mommy me would have been able to make plans in the wink of an eye but now I have the adorable rugrat to deal with and things need to be planned far enough in advance so that I can either set up a babysitter (no family in Indy and no good enough friends to trust for more than a night just yet) or prepare for the drive with all her stuff as well as our own.

I keep forgetting the ACen is in May and I would love to come up, but I am saving everything I have to go back to Dragon*Con in Atlanta at the end of the summer.
Just know that if you (and Steve and JT and any other friends up there with you) are always welcome to visit me in Indy and crash here. We have plenty of space (a guest room with a kingsize bed, a loft area with a queensize futon, and a comfy couch downstairs in the family room) and GenCon is happening in mid-August (mostly gaming, but they do have anime too) as well.

Hahaha I know what GenCon is. Don't worry about the theme of the convention itself, I only go to these things to hang out with friends. I don't even watch anime AT ALL anymore, and pretty much haven't since 2002 or so. I'd love to go to GenCon, but I'll see how work and finances are shaping up. The only reason I go to Acen and Reactor each year is because they're local. As for out-of-town stuff, the only one I ever hit up now is Ohayocon in January. And even then, it's just to see our Columbus friends (who we stay with) as well as the Michigan people who come down.

Aww I'm glad you're happy buddy! :D

Yeah even though I don't have an Xbox360, I watch Kevin play every now and then. It is actually really fun to see other people be online as well as chatting with them. I only wish some of the games I played were online-compatible =P

"Hey pal." ^_^ I know, I was gonna say, I think Devil May Cry is one of the few games that doesn't have online multiplayer. At least not that I know of. I still want the game sooo badly, but I'm broke as a joke. And not a very good joke, may I add.

For that matter, what games on the 360 DO you play? ^_^

I don't, because I don't have a 360. Kevin does.

You, too! We need to have a joined birthday party at Yu's Mandarin, where a lot of guests show up but neither of us is actually there. ^_^ The good old days. Then again, I'll never be able to afford eating at Yu's Mandarin again. Not because it's horribly expensive, but because spending more than a couple bucks on a meal is something I can't do very often. Thank god for where I work, because I get food for much cheaper most of the time (and sometimes free).

Well they've cut back my hours lately, which means I'm off three days per week. But I'm still always there on Saturdays and Sundays, usually 10am-6pm each time. The only exception is the last few weekends, thanks to being sick and/or switching days with other workers.

Yay for you being happy! It's nice when you have so much more freedom...when you have the freedom to make choices that make YOU happy. Welcome back!
