From what you've said he sounds sweet. It sounds like you're a little worried that you're at different places in life. I wouldn't let it stop you from getting to know him. When you've just met someone, differences and similarities are exacerbated. Try hanging out a few more times and see where it leads. Keep in mind, I have even less experience than you.
