That makes me sick to my stomach. I cannot handle ANY animal abuse. They should be in prison for the rest of their lives or equally swung around because they won't do something.
There was an Amish family who lived in the house next to my grandmother's sister and they had bunnies outside. They watched as the kid took the bunny, who was still small, grab it by its hind legs and swing it up into the air before letting it drop to the ground and do it again. My mom and I were so ill when we heard this that we called animal protective services but they said they couldn't do anything without proof, and my coward grandmother and her sister said nothing to help.
Makes me crazy. I don't think I could sit through that book.
I mean, it's probably different when it's a little kid who doesn't know any better. That doesn't make it ok, because hopefully their parents would a) be supervising and b) teach them that it's wrong, but when it's a young kid they just probably don't understand that it's not okay and hurts them. I'm assuming this is like a toddler or young child though, if it's like anyone older than 5 at the maximum then that's definitely not okay. But yeah, this is a grown man, went to college (played football for 2 yrs then left early for the NFL though), just beating a completely innocent dog to death. And now he's making $5 million dollars a year again as a starter for the Eagles. It's just not right

Well if it was a younger kid I would have to agree, but this kid had to be between 7 and 9. I think my grandmother's sister went over once to tell the parents and all they did was come outside and tell them to stop it cause they had been doing this before. That's about all cause then the kid kept doing it. A few days later that bunny was gone from the outside cage. No one should be doing that and how he was even let back to play NFL is disgusting. He should be forced to put much of his income to saving dogs like the ones he clearly destroyed.
At least a good majority of them were saved. Poor things. They get such a bad reputation when it matters on their upbringing and the way they were trained. Any dog can be vicious if it's put through that nonsense. It's going to defend itself eventually and if all it knows is fighting then it never had a chance to really pull away from that. I'll have to check it out. Maybe the library has it or something.

At least a good majority of them were saved. Poor things. They get such a bad reputation when it matters on their upbringing and the way they were trained. Any dog can be vicious if it's put through that nonsense. It's going to defend itself eventually and if all it knows is fighting then it never had a chance to really pull away from that. I'll have to check it out. Maybe the library has it or something.
