I was considering replacing my '88 Civic Hatchback in '09 with the new model Fit, but now I'm reading Honda plans to release a Hybrid version in 2010.

Hmm... 244,000 miles. Liquid ball bearings can probably stretch the car to 325k. Question is, will the extra mpg justify the price increase (guessing 2-3K for the battery)?

maybe you get the regular, and I get the hybrid.. no sounds from mazda on a hybrid mazda 3.. or much of anything else i'd drive in the near future. (concept hybrid rx8 IS JUST A CONCEPT! seriously,.. how does that even work? a hybrid rotary engine?)

Since the "green" portion is regenerative breaking and initial start on battery from a stop (the Toyota version at least), in theory it doesn't matter what kind of gas/diesel engine you use...
