Mothers are meant to ruin your life, but this is ridiculous!

I've tried to keep my mouth shut about this, but I just need to get it off my chest. I know I'm not involved, my opinion is my own , and I'm trying my best not to stick my righteous foot in it. There's a girl at work who is pregnant, and is due around late summer (at a guess), and my issue is this....she smokes. I know some might think I'm over-

Argh I know your pain. My cousin smoked throughout her entire pregnancy (with twins) because her mother told her it was okay >.< (as in, 'I smoked when I was pregnant with you and you are fine'). Except, that's the cousin whose spine is too narrow at the bottom so it pinches a nerve, and one of her girls has a club foot. Neither of those things can be pinned on the smoking, but it just reinforces to me that there is so much that can go wrong already, why take the fucking risk?

I used to smoke, and I enjoyed it. I gave up three years ago (ran out of money xD), cold turkey, haven't touched them since - it might be harder for other people than it was for me but it is NOT that hard. I do not understand how anyone could stand there blathering about loving their baby and then do that.

Hlkhlkj the whole issue makes me unhappy-brux.
