I just rejected a friend request on Facebook. Someone I do not know sent me a friend request on Facebook, I rejected it, and now I feel guilty. What the hell is wrong with me? This is definitely a guilt unique to this generation, since Facebook hasn't been around for that long, but is it a guilt that should even exist ( Read more... )

I also have to stop myself from feeling bad if I ignore someone. I try to look at it this way - just because someone messages you, or calls you on the phone, or knocks on the door, doesn't mean you have to oblige them. It's not like there's a law or anything.

What was his name? Today I got a request from someone whose name I didn't recognize. I've not yet logged in for the researching yet though.

I know what you mean exactly. I joined so I can look at some of my friend's profiles, and then people started to add me and such. I don't even use it for anything really, I only look at it when someone else is "adding" me! But like mostly it is people I am not friends with or hardly know, but I feel bad rejecting them so I just let it sit there on the pending list :/
