Misa takes a few steps away and perches on the edge of the large bathtub.

"When I first got here, I ran into another Misa - the one who is with L. She said that she and L managed to somehow make it so...so that when the mansion sends them back, she goes back to his world, not her own. I don't know how they did it, but...we could find out?"

She watches him carefully, her heart hammering in her chest nervously. It's a crazy notion, really - they hardly know each other, but the thought of letting him go back to his own world just so he can die...whether it helps his cause or not...makes her feel ill.

"Oh..." she frowned, finding herself suddenly concerned that perhaps the 'nice chat' was more than a 'nice chat'. It was difficult to believe that Matt could divorce his feelings for his own Mello from the feelings he might have for any other Mello - after all, she had to admit that she had gotten a little...'nostalgic' when she'd seen the other Light.

"...so he told you how it happens? But...I mean, there's no guarentee it will happen the same way in your world, is there? It's a pretty big risk."

Matt frowns as well; before he tackles their main subject once more, there's somethin' he's gotta ask Misa.

"What do you think my relationship with Mello is like?"

She hesitates, dropping her gaze from his and fiddling with the edge of the sheet.

"...well, when you talk about him...it...kind of seems like you're more than just friends...."
