I don't even know what to say. Other than the more modern dance moves and updated music (so wrong on so many levels), it almost looks like an exact replica.

And now there's a possible "Dirty Dancing" remake? Did we run out of comic book superheroes/sequels/remakes of Japanese/European films? Stop pillaging my childhood, Hollywood!

And yeah they're planning a 'Dirty Dancing' remake and that is so wrong on so many levels.

Actually, I've seen the Footloose remake, and I loved it. The director is a Memphian, and he had a special showing where he explained why he wanted to remake the movie, etc.

And I know it's strange, but the similarities to teh original are actually WHY I loved it. There are definitely big differences (some major plot points), but I love that the director obviously LOVED the original, and just wanted to make a tribute to it.

That's my opinion, anyway. I'd give it a chance if I were you!

OMG I KNOOOOW! I watched the trailer when I was in the theatre to watch HP and was all NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! D:

(ngl though, if zefron had still been the kevin bacon replacement, i would go watch)

the only reason I'm paying any attention to this is that for a while, Thomas's name was attached and now Patrick Flueger's in there, though you can't tell from the promos.

Bleh all around.

Thomas' name was attached? I don't remember that. All I remember is Zac Efron. Which character is Flueger playing?

Yeah, for a long time, there was rumor that he would take the starring role - we couldn't even get him to confirm or deny it! ahaha! Can you even imagine?!

Patrick's playing the bad dude. Butch? Something like that?
