Ooo, good choice.

I've seen most of his films and was a fan but I wasn't an uberfan. His work did not change or impact my life in any profound way. And yet, of all the celebrity deaths, his death affected me the most. I can't really say why.

This is me, as well, with the possible exception of Michael Hutchence. I think maybe it's because there was so much sheer possibility in River. He hadn't done a lot yet, but you could see all that potential in him. You just knew that he was going to be important in the industry. But then, he was just gone. God, I was so gutted.
