I had to make two attempts at reading this, the first time being unsuccessful because I was totally indecisive about having Wikipedia on standby in order to look up all these references that I so do not know about -- which I ended up not doing, and I fear it probably detracts from the full profoundness/poignancy of the story, HOWEVER (also I am a huge baby at handling unrequited loves) -- in the end, it didn't seem to matter much, because I literally couldn't choose which passage equated the final stake to the heart. Uh, ow. I'm not used to this, I'm not used to reading about Minho being loved -- I don't know if it's an actual fandom rarity, but I haven't come across a lot, personally -- every part of him sliced and diced and reinterpreted into the most ancient form of romance, the origins of every tragic cliche. One thing I do remember about Greek myths (well, from high school, so correct me if I'm wrong) is that their characters are primarily stuck with their predestinies. There's never a chance to veer off and go, oh, well maybe I ( ... )

lovely piece. I am currently taking a class on Greek mythology right now so this is a real treat. my favorites are kenosis and excursus. that reference to Persephone/Demeter is just perfect, perfect for unrequited love, ugh ♥

this was amazing and so, so beautiful. i've studied Greek mythology for years and the way you used all the different characters and myths is just perfect. they're all incredibly heartbreaking in their own way and your choice of words just

The literature nut in me was immensely pleased while reading this. And while I'm not completely familiar with all the terms and people mentioned, I know enough that reading this was such a joy. I like how Onho inspires this kind of fic, it makes stanning them even better!

Love it.
Its an incredibly unique and interesting way to tie a set of drabbles together.
Just one thing though, under thanatos, Minho's name is written as "Lee Minho".
