So I decided I wanted to make Leon (my bjd in case anyone is like who dat) a basic hoodie. He is lacking in clothing severely. So I cut out the pieces and thought maybe I can jazz it up. I am just not sure how. I would love to add stuff on to it sort of like applique. I just can't seem to get it together and it bugs me. I don't just want a plain ( Read more... )

Interesting fabric for boy dolls is hard T_T
Could you sew a stripe of fabric across the chest as a contrast or something?

That is so true. Its fairly easy for little boys well for me anyways since I am like they will have cute looks.

THAT IS WHAT I WAS THINKING. Last night after I sat for two hours trying to figure it out I was like eff this I am going to bed. Right as I was falling asleep I thought what if I some how did a stripe or two. I was even thinking if not on the torso part it might even look neat around the arm. I have a hoodie like that. An iron-on transfer would be good, but I'm not sure what kinds of designs you could find them in...or if there's a way to make your own design.

:D I love cutesy stuff on guys too, so I also think the animals ears would be adorable!

I wish I could do screen printing! ha ha an iron on was another idea in fact I cut one out from an old print up I did. Only problem is the fabric is black and the darn iron on is for light fabric. I thought what if I get it on a white piece and stitch it on since the iron on is actually dark and black..... but it might look weird stitched on right??

Yeah I cut the ears out with the intention to do that anyways lol. I wish I had the materials to do eyelets so I can give the ears, piercings.

Hmm, I'm not sure how it would look stitched on. It might be worth it to test it out on something though. Then, at least you would know in case you want to do it in the future.

Aww, piercings would be adorable! You could always get some cheap earrings and stick them through the fabric. :3
