Rules for Re-translations
Hello everyone!
Recently I've been getting a few messages asking for permission to re-translate my magazine translations or subtitles into another language to share to other overseas fans. I am very honored that you want to re-translate my work and I appreciate the effort in asking for permission before re-translating.
My main goal in doing translations is to spread the love for my favorite Johhny's groups and Juniors. That being said, I do not want anyone to have a hard time accessing my translations. So, I've decided to set some rules, to make things easier for everyone.
For anyone who wishes to re-translate magazine/lyrics translations:
♪ You do not need to send me a PM to ask for permission.
♪ Please feel free to re-translate my work, as long as you mention this journal as your source for the English translation. It can be as simple as "shimukendou@lj".
♪ This is not required, but I would appreciate it if you could share a link to your finished re-translation, either through PM or as a comment in this post. I may not be able to understand the language but I'm very curious as to how the article will look like in another language.
For anyone who wishes to re-translate subtitles:
♪ I am open to sharing my softsubs as of now, as long as I do not see them being misused.
♪ To get the softsubs, please send me a PM introducing yourself and/or the subbing team you're working with, including a link to the community/site you will be uploading your subbed video.
♪ Once given the softsubs, DO NOT share them to anyone not directly involved in re-translating.
♪ In the post for your subbed video, please mention this journal as your source for the English subtitles. It can be as simple as "shimukendou@lj"
