Q1. Tell us one secret about you!
Even though it’s winter, I drink barley tea every day (T/N: Barley tea is considered a summer beverage in Japan). This summer, I realized the appeal of barley tea, and since then I have continued drinking it. It’s cold now, so I heat it up and then drink it. I make it at home and drink the ones in plastic bottles. But in the case of plastic bottles, after I finish drinking it, I smell the scent because I enjoy the aftertaste too (laughs).
Q2. Tell us one secret about Kishi!
Recently, (Kikuchi) Fuma-kun set up a prank on Hayashi (Ippei). Everyone planned it and it was going so well, but before we were supposed to reveal it, Kishi did a false start and we were found out. It wasn’t like a careless mistake, it looked like he wanted to tell him plainly. He took over the best part of the prank (laughs).
Q3. Tell us one secret about Iwahashi!
Maybe Iwahashi hasn’t opened up his heart to me yet. You see, Genki is good at being spoiled. Even though he acts spoiled to his sempai, he’s never acted spoiled to me… Although maybe it’s because I’m younger than him (laughs). But I want to spoil him sometimes~.
Current Status
It’s been one week since the “Johnny’s~” performances have started, but I’ve gotten a little used to the feeling. I remember the advice our director in 49 told us, “Putting together all the members of the basketball club, if you can’t preserve your character’s freshness, your acting will become bad”. To add to that, during that time I did a quick change of clothes, I wore the wrong costume and rushed out just like that. Afterwards, when my mistake was pointed out, I got really depressed… That’s why now, I give it all my best and correct my mistakes.

Q1. Tell us one secret about you!
Every day, I secretly eat the kaki-peanuts (T/N: rice cracker snack mixed with peanuts) my father stocks for snacks. Moreover, I don’t like peanuts that much, so I only eat the rice crackers. My father doesn’t eat peanuts too, so only the peanuts are left behind (laughs). Even though I think it would be nice if he bought snacks that didn’t have peanuts, why doesn’t he do it? I think, as expected, he’s realized that the snacks have decreased (laughs).
Q2. Tell us one secret about Iwahashi!
He loves doing stupid things. When someone says “It’s boring”, he often does plain pranks. Like pasting sticker’s on people’s backs and then laughing. I haven’t said “Stop it!” to the point of being angry, but it’s bothersome (laughs).
Q3. Tell us one secret about Takahashi!
His feet are really quick. Some time before, for some reason we had a race contest with some people. He was so fast, I was surprised. Also, he’s strong in arm wrestling. This too, he proves his strength in, when he battles some Juniors during break time at stage plays. Even though he’s that thin, there’s a huge gap with his strength.
Current Status
In “Johnny’s World 2020”, generally speaking, I fell down a lot. If it’s the number of times I’ve fallen, I’m confident that I won’t lose to any other performer (laughs). There were a lot of times when the floor was wet, even if it wasn’t the swordfight scene in the flood. Although I was properly being careful, I would immediately slip. Every day I would get more bruises (laughs), but I didn’t get hurt. Maybe that’s why I always brace myself and I am able to stand on stage.

Iwahashi Genki
Q1. Tell us one secret about you!
I’m often crying in front of Jinguji, and quite recently too, I showed my crying face to him. Previously, while the two of us were playing together, I got into an argument with my parents for a petty reason. I cried and went back to my room. Then Jinguji said, “Eh, what happened?”. But during the time that I became like that, he was happily playing video games in my room (laughs).
Q2. Tell us one secret about Kishi!
While sleeping, when I’m beside him he often hugs me. I brush him off over and over but he doesn’t want to let go. Instead, he grabs me tightly. Also, sometimes he snores (laughs). I don’t understand the timing of Kishi-kun’s sleep. There are times when he would fall asleep as he pleases. There are also times when he gets into a fun mood and he won’t sleep.
Q3. Tell us one secret about Takahashi!
He’s actually a crybaby. When gets scolded by the choreographer, even if he gets told “That’s not something to cry about!”, he immediately cries (laughs). But according to what I’ve heard, recently, it seems that his personality has become more cheerful than before. When he goes out to eat with sempai, he can take on the role of making things lively.
Current Status
I’ve been addicted to it since a long time ago, but I like the moon, and blackholes, and space. Recently, during the Gemini Meteor Shower , I watched the shooting stars from our veranda. That time, Jinguji and Kishi-kun had come over to play. When I called to them “Everyone, come here-!”, for some reason at that time Kishi-kun was naked from waist up. As he was putting on his clothes, Kishi-kun was the only one who didn’t make it in time and wasn’t able to see it (laughs).

One of my fave unofficial units! I used to call them the “Kanjirumama Trio” because their performance of “Kanjirumama ni You and I” left a big impression on me. Too bad this wasn’t a crosstalk. Those are a lot more fun because you can see how they interact with each other. Nevertheless, this was a very interesting interview. I love how everyone mentions Kishi failing at something-whether it’s spoiling a prank, slipping onstage, or missing a meteor shower because he was half naked. LOL. Poor guy cannot catch a break, can he? Seriously though, why the heck did he take his shirt off while visiting a friend’s house? Even Genki is confused. XD
