I don't think this is a pointless chapter; setting up Martha as Sam's 'wife' is problematic in SO many ways, and yet you resolved it really well here. I can just see Martha setting out to fix things for Sam and Annie, she is just that pragmatic and straightforward!

I don't have a lot to say, really, but I am enjoying this series. It is crack and fun but also very engaging. Thank you!
