Drabbles, part 3: Chalion and Sayers

Mar 10, 2012 21:01

There has been a bit of a drabble flurry around lately, which is always fun. I didn't have my act together to do the drabble meme for International Women's Day this year, and I'm feeling slightly bad because I didn't remember to write Remus Lupin even the briefest of drabbles for his 52nd birthday today. ;) But I did have *cough* two more Hobbit Read more... )

I hate to be a nit picky fan, but oh, I just can't let this one slide, and it isn't even about your fics!

But Remus would be celebrating his 52nd birthday today, although, I'm sure he'd be very happy to know that he was aged down 10 years? Perhaps he changed the age on his birthday cake? That said, I'm sure he'd let you off the hook for not writing a fic, reminding him of his age. ;)

Oh, you're so right! I guess I've spent so much energy writing AUfic in the years right after the war that I dropped a decade. ;) Thanks for the catch.

As I said, I'm sure Remus would be more than happy to think people think he's still 42 years old.

Dora would remind him though. ;)

Oh, thank you! I love how content Goram seems with Illvin, and his horse-related imagery. And Harriet and Peter too! Cross words in bed indeed! :-)

I'm very embarrassed at how long it took me to write this, heh. But thank you for the fun prompt, and I'm glad you liked the result! I imagine it's easier for Goram to deal with the world in terms of horses...

(I was very nervous about attempting Harriet and Peter, so, glad you liked that one too. ;) )

These are great. I love Goram, struggling to put words and thoughts together, relating everything to horses, and relying on the most simple instincts regarding them and people. I may be slightly bowled over by Illium's smile as well, and even more by his kindness here. And I'm grinning at Harriet and Peter and their early morning banter - of course he'd complete the crossword in ink!

I wondered if you might sympathize with Goram and his horses, lol. It was interesting to try to guess how he sees the world.

I couldn't even begin to attempt a British-sounding crossword clue -- I've read enough about them to know that they're completely different from ours! So I had to work the crossword in there obliquely, and suddenly I knew that Peter would do his in ink. ;)

Thanks for reading!
