[Meme] um...what's smaller than a drabble?

Stolen from ladybracknell. Because I go on vacation tomorrow (it's a working vacation, but still), so why not write a few...drabblettes? drabblinos? subdrabbles?

...I think I like "subdrabbles".

Give me two characters and one word and I will write you something using no more than 30 words. (In fact, I'll try for exactly 30. Ha.)

Cazaril felt the baby kick again under his hand.

“It doesn’t...remind you of anything, does it?” Betriz murmured.

He smiled. “Only of how much I love my wife.”

LOL! So glad Caz isn't all, "OMG, demonspawn!"

But surely it must have crossed their minds at some point, right? LOL.

I imagine the conversation went something like this:

Betriz: "Caz, I'm pregnant."

Caz: "Five Gods! Are you sure I didn't just give you my demon?"

Or, when they're coping with a newborn in the middle of the night:

Caz gently prodded his wife. "I think your son is hungry again."

He couldn't be sure, as her reply was muffled by the pillows she'd pressed over her head, but he thought she muttered something about his demon spawn before she threw back the covers and reached for the squawking bundle in the cradle beside their bed.
