What better way to celebrate Remus Lupin's birthday than with a little post-war AU denialfic? ;)

First Fruits (1570 words | PG/beware of fluff | March 1999)
Remus gets a bit of good news from Kingsley just in time for his birthday. Teddy squirms, Nymphadora drops things, and Andromeda looks on, fondly.

You always seem to post something warm and fuzzy when I'm in need of it! How do you do that? I love Andromeda starting to see Remus for who he really is. I always imagined the relationship between the two of them to be rather formal and awkward. The defrosting process is nice to see!

I know, right? Another good reason for writing postwar AU is that it gives Remus and Andromeda a chance to know each other better, because I think that once they came to appreciate each other's good qualities, and got over the mutual suspicion, they would have a certain amount in common.

For some reason, I missed this the other day! I enjoyed it - it's always nice to read fic where Remus and Tonks are happy.

Finally remus got what deserved. I loved how first thing wanted to do with his salary was take tonks for romantic dinner so sweet.
And also happy that andromeda is accepting remus ss family.

Thanks for the comments! (And thanks for your review on FF.N as well.)

I think it would have taken a while for Andromeda and Remus to appreciate each other, but it's nice to imagine that they would have gotten there eventually.

Finally I got a chance to read this :)
And what a wonderful birthday gift it was for Remus!
This left me with all kinds of good feelings. Your Warp and Weft series is definitely the place to go when in need of something warm and hopeful to read.

I love that it seems Malkin is doing okay as well. I liked him a lot in the HBP parts of Kaleidoscope (always nice and refreshing with sympathetic Slytherin characters!) and I hope he's doing well in the post war world.

I love this whole part:

“I don’t care,” said Nymphadora, abruptly fierce. “I’ve never cared. You know that ( ... )
