I for one, am quite guilty of writing a dull Miyazaki essay. (I really do feel quite guilty...) I did it because it was much easier to do so; I'm sure quite a few other high school students did the same. :/
And Martin Yan! I didn't even know he was on Food Network; I'd always seen him on PBS. What instrument do you play, if you don't mind me asking? I'm inclined to say cello, but I'm really not sure.
lol, don't feel guilty! I'm far more irritated by all the professional critcs who are all "OMG THIS ISN'T DISNEY"....
PBS is where I always saw him too, but everyone eventually migrated to Food Network I guess. I do play the cello, but haven't performed in a few years -- these days I play erhu.
Aww! They show Martin Yan on a food channel here - he gets to tour China and all. Yum!
Always confused Yan Can Cook with Wok with Yan, because that's the Yan (Stephen, also a fabulous Chinese celebrity chef and Martin Yan is not related to him, but did work with him at some point) I know from my childhood. >D
haha i thought shimizu meant the wok with yan guy too. i never did like martin yan much, because i sort of felt he ripped off the whole "chinese guy named 'yan' cooks on tv" concept from the first guy. hehehe.
Lol! Martin Yan's okay (I watch his show on Asian Food Network when I happen upon it 'cause he gets to tour all sorts of places in China) but felt Stephen had more zing. >D Like a much less annoying, Chinese version of Emeril.
XD Martin Yan's a local figure for me, which is probably why I'm more familiar with him. Apparently Martin Yan worked under Stephen at one point, which only adds to the confusion, I bet!

Hope you catch up on your rest though! :)
