Note to self:

Staying up all night on a school day to read fanfics?

Yeah. NOT A GOOD IDEA.

I mean, really, why do I do these stupid things? I went to bed at 5 a.m. and woke up at 7:30. Two hours and a half of sleep. And our first lesson was history. I was nodding off to sleep every five seconds. At one moment I actually started awake (did I mention ( Read more... )

Realising it was not a good idea is a positive first step. But it was so so foolish of you.
Anyway, I would like to be in the classroom and see you! :) Especially Mel. leering...Hehe...
You are so weak and that's a huge...weakness. :P
If you read it all right away, what will you have later?

You know, when I was reading, I knew I wasn't going to stop unless I finished it, even if it took me the entire night. I just knew it. I only realised the vastness of my foolishness when I went to bed and couldn't sleep cause my head was hurting and my ears were buzzing.

But really, it coudn't have been any other way. It just couldn't. I never listen to my rational side when it matters.

Yes, yes, I'm weak. I've always known. Once I get addicted to something, I never get free. :P You know me.

Well I'll just read it again, of course! ^______^

At least now you learned from it. But we humans tend to do things that we know are wrong, for reasons unknown. :)

I wish I wasn't too lazy to do that. At night is the best time for me to read, but I usually go to bed unnaturally early (for a college student).

My attention span for fiction is completely gone after a big manga kick I had a couple years ago. I still haven't recovered, and I can't read for long periods of time, although I love it. It's even worse trying to read online.

Not a good idea really, but I definitely understand the urge ^^ It's always nice to find such a captivating story.

What other fanfic do you read? Trying to see if there's an opportunity for self-promotion here XP

Heh, college students have a reputation for being notoriously lazy here. I'm sure I'll do nothing but lie around in bed till noon if I manage to get into university. :P

I've been doing nothing but read online these past few years. :/ I admit, it doesn't have the same feel as a real book, but I've gotten addicted to reading fics nonetheless and it's become like second nature to me.

You write fanfic? Oh, that's so cool! ^^ I'll read about any fandom if I'm even vaguely aware of the canon, and sometimes not even then if I like the author enough. Lately I've been terribly onsessed with Naruto, but I dabble in other fandoms if I see a good rec.

Give me a link and I'll check your stories out. :)

Same here, change noon to about 4 or 5pm for kids here though. I'm not lazy in that sense. I can't really stay in bed past 10 or so on the weekends, unless I'm reading.

I think online reading is hard for me, not because of it being on a screen, but because it's easier to get distracted, visiting another page, etc.

My fic journal is here: aeralis_rising. I'm sticking to FXII and FVIII right now. I've been horribly obsessed with XII lately. Do you write, or just read?

I have the obnoxious habit of waking up early, regardless of day or what time I slept the other night. :/ It's really annoying. One of the reasons I always feel tired, I guess.

Ah, I see what you mean. I don't really get that, but then again, I prefer oneshots and drabbles to chaptered, long stories. (Not that I don't read those too. :P)

Nope, just read. :) I'm not good enough to actually write, and I think it'd be a source of stress rather than enjoyment for me.

Anyway, thanks for the link! I'll be sure to check it out ... eventually. >_>;; I'm sorry, but I have the feeling I'll be really busy these next few weeks.

Some fan fictions are "Meh" but others (like the one that kept you up) are well written. I don't really spend a lot of time hunting fics down but I usually keep track of my favourite authors' works.

My favourite fan fiction author is this person, if you have time when you finish physics, I recommend you to read one of her fics.

Heh, I've already read her fics. ^______^ (Man, every time someone recs me something for the Naruto fandom, I realise I've already read it.) Thanks anyway! :)

That's the only author who makes Sandsib incest work for me. It's so dark and disturbing, just the way it's supposed to be. Especially that Gaara/Temari fic. Wow.

And I love the crackfics. XD
