Heh... 'should' being the operative word there, obviously ^^;;;

In any case, things are finally getting settled in preparation for the "hibernation" period -- i.e. I disappear off the face of the planet in order to cram study for exams. Although since I've had longer exam periods the last few semesters, I haven't actually totally disappeared for ( Read more... )

My departure date is still in low season (coz I'm spending 3 weeks in Shanghai first). High season starts approx mid-December. Airfare + accomodation (in Japan only) + JR pass comes close to $3000 AUD... Spending money, of course, goes on top of that ^^;;; *will be utterly broke*

Waaa. it'll be approx the same amount I pay last time, too, AUD $3k for ticket, accomodation and JR passes. And yes, the utterly broke part is to be expected. ^_^;;; Can't help to not to buy/taste/see anything. I missed Eki bento the most =^^=;;

By the way, I don't know if you know this site: www.bento.com, gives some good references if you are as gluton as me.

Oh, take some pic when you visit Ghibli museum, will you? I wanna see

Japan?! Ahhhh, I want to go back!

I started Japanese classes a few weeks ago, so would be better prepaired to go now than I was at the beggining of the summer. Oh well. Have a blast. Spend lots :o). Share pictures when you get back.

And I'm glad to hear that you're Mom's okay! Triple yay indeed!

Engraved! Engraved! :)

Never expect a hospital to be efficient - you will be invariably disappointed. And city planners who put 2 hour zones around hospitals are either delusional or stupid ... probably both.

I forgot I had to apply for a visa once, and after having a panic attack, got it the day before I was supposed to fly out :)

So glad your mum's feeling better.

Good to hear your mum is feeling better.

Would you still be going to work on Saturdays during your Hibernation period?

And the Ghibli Museum? Talk about envy... But that's only no less than what you deserved after all these years of studying. Still, coming back right when you are moving house... You won't be able to unpack any goodies you buy in Japan until you moved into your new room ^_^; (Imagine packing all your Gundam models... This isn't going to be easy...)
