Another wonderful installment and it features Neville! Keep them coming. I love how you are setting up Neville and Hannah's relationship.

I found Neville's thoughts on Greyback interesting. I always wondered what take him down meant, if they killed him or how it meant.

Thanks! I do love Neville. It's always a treat to write him.

I'm not sure as well whether JKR meant that Greyback was dead in DH, but I decided to go with the captured but not killed definition here ... else I wouldn't have much of a story! :)

No, you need a villain and keeping Greyback alive serves an excellent purpose. I liked how you wrote the events. The way JKR kept it ambiguous (which I think she did for a purpose) makes it hard to picture what happened and turn it into something real. You did a good job without being graphic.

I forgot to add this. Poor McKay! He didn't volunteer to become a werewolf or to be killed.

I know. Poor guy just served a plot point for me, but I did treat him quite terribly!

You have to treat characters poorly to have a story. That's why writers are so mean.

I feel sorry for his loss of reputation. He didn't want to be a werewolf. The guards must have been frightened of guarding greyback during the full moons. Having him biting him on the finger was a good touch.
