Your summary already left me all wobbly and now I'm sufficiently teary. Thanks for that ;) Seriously though, fics dealing with this difficult topic of losing loved ones mentally gets me almost more than losing loved one physically and the way you portrayed Neville throughout was lovely. I thought you did a great job showing the friendship between Luna and Neville and how they relate to each other while still different in a lot of ways. And I thought Nev's observation of how fiercely Luna believed her father would be okay at first rang so true to Luna's character. Neville appeared rather man of the house-ish, for lack of a better term, with the way he took care of his parents and took in the Lovegoods, all that firm decision-making I guess, don't get that from him too often in fics but I liked it! :)

I guess you definitely found the Neville-at-St-Mungo's scene in OotP as heartbreaking as I did, then!
