Summary: Neville receives an owl.
Somehow the owl knows to come to the Room of Requirement, which has constructed a window just for it. Neville doesn't know how it got past the grounds undetected; he can't ask. The owl hoots softly and takes off once he takes the letter from its talons. Neville rips open the envelope.
It's from his gran.
They came for her.
Neville's heart plummets, but lifts again as he reads on and learns that she's safe, on the run, and intensely proud of him.
This shouldn't be good news in any way -- it tells him that the Carrows have wised up to his role as the leader of the DA, that he isn't safe -- but his heart sings nevertheless.
You have become the man beyond what any of us could have expected. I could not be prouder.
It's almost worth this whole horrible situation just to see those words from her.
