I've got to leave in fifteen minutes, but I just wanted to pop in because a new prompt is up at Scribbulous, and I'm going to pimp my entry. :D

Title: After the War
Rating: PG
Pairing: R/Hr
Word Count: 274

Summary: In the middle of the night, Ron tries to make Hermione come back to bed. Written for the prompt 'Quill'.

I love that. It would be just like Hermione to get up in the middle of the night and start trying to work out the Wizarding World's problems. Great take on the prompt.

Oh Sweetie . . . that's so lovely!! I love how Hermione wanted to do so much and Ron was there, as always, to reel her in. Fabulous!! :)

That was so great. Poor Hermione, of course she wants to save the world. Great ending, too, with the sugar quill. I laughed.

Yay, I'm glad you liked the sugar quill! It was actually the first part I thought of - this drabble kind of built up backwards.

Thanks! :D

Thanks! I loved writing him in this ... made me feel all happy, trying to get into his mind. :)

Well, you're not alone! That's happened to me before, too.

And remember that PS scene where Hermione says she got up in the middle of the night and was halfway through her Transfiguration notes before remembering they'd finished the exam? (Makes me wonder if JKR's had a similar experience herself, actually :P)

Perfect description of a work-a-holic. Ron is far to familiar with her behavior. He didn't really try to argue with her. He knew she wouldn't give in, so instead, he pointed out she wasn't in a state to work. He is rubbing off on her. How else would a sugar quill end up on her desk? Them feeling like the job is only half done is very present in the later arc of my fic-a-verse. They didn't save the world, they just kept Voldie from destroying it.

Thanks! That's exactly how I think too - finishing off Voldie isn't going to make everything nice and daisy-fresh in the wizarding world automatically.
