I think it's time for a random poll.

So this sort of came up in my brain when we were talking earlier. I am curious as to how common some experiences which I expect to be near-universal actually are.

Tickyboxes! And so on. )

star wars, buffy

I had a very weird childhood and in fact did not see Star Wars until high school, and was still too isolated at that point to have anybody to play it with. I WOULD GLADLY PLAY IT NOW, THOUGH. ^_^

SEE YOU SAY THIS AND YOU DON'T REALISE I CAN ACTUALLY BRING THE LIGHTSABERS. (So they had candy in them to start with. THEY'RE STILL LIGHTSABERS.)

I need to amend question #2: Occasionally I was Mara Jade. Because she fucking kicks all the ass ever is why.

OOOH, yes. I should have put her in as well, because yes.

I was actually reading up on her tonight (when I should have been reading about globalization) for reasons that really truly don't bear going into and I found out that SHE DIED and I was all like WHAT THE FUCK and then I felt really sad about it. I haven't paid any attention to that character in years. Dammit.

I wonder if my old Heir to the Empire comics are somewhere.

I maintain nothing after the second Hand of Thrawn book should remotely even be considered canon because it's all stupid. The New Jedi Order bullshit just made me SO MAD. :/

(Canon I judgily actually thing counts: the holy trilogy, the Zahn books, Courtship of Princess Leia, the X Wing books, the X Wing comics, AND DONE.)

...ngl I played She-Ra more than anything else.

Um. We were pretty much fighting for the sake of fighting? And then we fought till we got bored rather than till someone won. We were pretty violent children, really.

The best game was the one where my sister pretended to be my servant no actually.

Okay, that's awesome.

I REMEMBER YOU TELLING ME ABOUT THIS. You win at older sister.

I am sure the fact that I was R2D2 will surprise exactly no one. :D

I have been threatening to dress up as either R2D2 or a Dalek for halloween for *years*. Mom wouldn't let me when I was actually of a decent age to go trick or treating (she also would not let me go as John Lennon. The INJUSTICE. I had to twist ARMS to go as Charlie Chaplin when I was 10, and then she only let me cause I made her laugh when I pointed out that I had the walk down).

One of these days I will dress up as a droid of choice, dammit. :D

...that is so UNFAIR. I feel you should be able to dress up as any of them whenever, dammit!
