Achtung Sydney! :D

IMPORTANT QUESTION:I hit a small bow-wave of "omg nothing is organised!" panic at work today, and was planning to ring up the Pancake place and see if we need to book (I'm thinking we aim for 9.30/10am, then the early-fly-out-ers might be able to make it? Thoughts?) Except what I didn't know is that they have more than one location. Did we intend ( Read more... )

missy, there's no half-life for fandom, zack is totally our favourite, nice pile of rocks, australia09

Hope your kitty is ok!! I have hedgehog babies under my new house, very cute.

I keep having this surreal dream that is totally random in every respect except for the fact that it always ends with me in a taxi with eyeliner, yet pop-shaved head, Bono asking him for the new album and instead he introduces me to the driver, Nick Cave. I kid you not! 3 nights out of the last 5-6ish. I suspect this is my subconscious venting at the fact I have to wait 2 more weeks. TWO MORE WEEKS when im squealy and fidgety with anticipaaaaaation.

Have fun in oz, gran says sydney is super wet at the mo, pack your wellies ;)

Oh man, me too. And, awww, bb!hedgehogs! Daww!

...duuuuuude, interesting. That is all kinds of neat and hilarious, really. :D

Thank you! And, ooh, this is good info to have. Not that I wasn't only wearing work boots anyway already. :D (FOB + All American Rejects in a pit? I anticipate being stomped on. Heh.)

I keep going 'aaagh should organise' and then 'no, I am too depressed to care'. It will be such a wonder if I get on that plane. Thank god for you, sweetness.

I've only been to the Rocks one, so I am kind of useless. Whichever is easiest to get to, I guess?

also, I mentioned to Claire that depending on what time you guys are in the city til on Saturday, I might be able to meet up with you all then, I'll just come straight from the airport.

If so, I could get your bag from you, so you don't have to lug it out to Acer and check it.

I think that's totally fair enough, really. *hugs you so so much* I can totally pick up the ball on the organising, seriously, it is no trouble.

And... okay, IDK where the Rocks even is, I shall consult Mr Google. :D

Thinking outloud - if the early fly-outers include jezzabe, her post says she's on a 11:15am flight, which means she'd need to be at the airport 10:30ish, which means leaving the city about 10am (at the latest).

We've tended to go to the Darling Harbour one the last few times we've been, they're probably a similar distance from transport (ie about a 15 minute stroll). Maybe find out if either can fit in whatever size booking we need?

engenda might be coming - she hasn't been online much lately, but I mentioned you guys were trying to plan things.

Oh, I thought she was on a 12.15 flight for some reason, oops. And nuts. Hrm, I'm inclined to push it back a little bit, then, because I don't think many of us will be up to much in the way of energy Sunday morning. And... oh balls, I have just remembered also that there are NO FUCKING TRAINS (or only late/massively reduced ones; I was kinda tired after Panic, I forget what the dude said but I know there was a reason we HAD to take a taxi last time) on Sunday morning from Olympic Park and a bunch of us are staying out there. So transport will be irritating. Phooey. If they're a similar distance in terms of from transport that's good then, yeah, we'll see who can take us.

And, oh, excellent - I'd love to see her too, I haven't since, god, 2007, yeah. *crosses fingers* (I was going to book for +3 to the numbers we had anyway just in case we found more willing victims in line on Saturday. :D)

I've never caught the train to/from Olympic Park, but it appears that there are trains every 10 minutes to Lidcombe, then you have to change and get a train into the city. There are basically no direct trains to the city though.

THAT TOO. it's just Sydney is a half hour less on an airplane, I am being selfishly shallow here. :D

I am DETERMINED you will get that, too. Odds are reasonable that we will be over for Armageddon, at least. *crosses fingers*
