I am loving how in the last, like, twenty minutes, every part of the internet I am signed onto has exploded with babybabybaby glee. &youguys; &PeteandAshlee;

And completely unrelatedly, silly poll of the week time!

Poll No really we don't have anything better to talk about at work

This poll brought to you by my continuing efforts to improve my posture at work and the realisation blademistress and I had when driving home ( Read more... )

i sort of curl up on the chair. it's a really uncomfortable straight back chair with a piddly little cushion on it. but i can't just sit straight anyway. i tend to curl up like a cat wherever i am.

if i was skinny i would look like ryan ross in an interview, but more... twisty.

*high-fives you* I am slouchy-curled up in my chair right now, so I hear you on that. I am just not comfortable if I'm not sitting in some weirdly contorted way (I used to be hilarious on airplanes, apparently, too, in the ways in which I would try to jam myself in more restfully.) Like, right now, the chair is sideways, I have one foot on the floor, the other one tucked under my knee, and I'm leaning my head on my shoulder which is braced against the back of the chair. Seriously, I keep trying to sit properly, and I can't do it. It hurts. Insert more bad-taste comments about my failing at straight here! :D

D'awwwwwwwwwwww! <3

Actually I'm kinda half-sitting on the chair, half-slouching, with one leg up as if I were sitting crosslegged, and one up on the bottom rung/supporty/end of the drawers bit of my desk. So my body is kinda leaning to the side. I'm sure it's not great posture, though... I'm awful at work, I always lean forwards, and end up with back/neck ache. I've been trying to sit up straight, but it's just not comfortable. Damnit.

...okay, see above, dude, that's almost exactly how I'm sitting. If I spin the chair around ninety degrees then I have my other foot up on the printer (and I wonder why it jams a lot. Heh.) instead of on the floor. And yeah, why does sitting up straight have to be so DIFFICULT? Damnit.

Oooh, a rebel from the binary faceup/facedown worldview. I APPROVE. (Actually, that is stupidly comfortable, isn't it? I have totally spent some significant time on occasion both lying on my side and, um. With my laptop sideways as well. It's tiny! It can handle it!)

I feel you should know that it is totally possible to give yourself a black eye with your laptop when you're lying down with said laptop turned on its side.

Sadly I have no doubt of the truth of this. Um. Liz will bear witness to the fact that when I was staying with her after the Jamboree in 2007 we both went to flail about something while lying in bed all con-plaguey with our laptops, and I hit myself in the face with the laptop. It was a moment of stunning and graceful coordination.

I'm cross-legged on the sofa, leaning forward to look at my laptop which is on a footstool the same height.

Also, it is snowing. That'll be fun to drive in. While dizzy.

Aww, I can just imagine that. <333333

And, oh no! *worryface* *tells the snow to leave you alone until you can stay inside and appreciate it solely from a decorative point of view* *careful hugs*
