...so that was close.

I think I may have to try and start wearing a watch again, at least at dinner. I've been training myself out of it (and to just use my mobile as a time piece instead) because, well, honestly, I'm running out of wrist real estate, otherwise, and I like wearing random stuff as well as my wrist bands. But then at dinner just now, Bronwen looked at me ( Read more... )

Wait a second, did I know about this tattoo? Have we already had this discussion? But yes, nice close call. Start wearing that watch, young lady.

Also, I am amused by the very idea that something might not exist on the internet.

Oh, and Xena! I used to watch it when I was home sick from school, because that was the time slot that it had, and I remember thinking (even at the tender age of twelve, before any fandom at all!) that there was something going on with that subtext.

I think you did? It's very thin (and faded badly, sigh) so it truly does just look like ballpoint - Bronwen is actually the first person who's noticed it who didn't get told on LJ/have me show them, so. Heh.

I KNOW, right? :D

And, awwwwww! See, I had noooooo idea when I was watching it, but I was a very unobservant teenager when it came to that kind of thing.

And it says/is what? (I am so faily at remembering things like this, it's not even funny.)

Inconceivable!

Yeah, but you're just generally unobservant, let's be honest ;)

there's more cultural significance to tattooes in nz though, yeah? and some people would have all sorts of reasons to be pro/anti that i imagine.

what about a wide bracelet?

There is quite often, yes (which is why his attitude frustrates me, but I am trying to be zen about it), and, yeah.

I do tend to wear a wristcuff quite often on that wrist, actually, that's a good point. My watch is just usually quicker to find. ;)

Has it faded very badly? I want a wrist tat but I hear they fade very quickly just because of how much you bend your wrist all the time.

It faded really badly - is almost invisible - on the first word, but in all honesty it's not because of use, it's because it doesn't look like it went in deep enough when I got it done. It's only a single line, so it's incredibly thin, and I should've probably got it a little bigger/thicker, because once the scab came off there was very little ink below the "wal" part of the "walk". the other part is okay, though, and the tattoo artist encouraged me to have it where it is because if it had been a bit higher it would've been prone to more damage from movement, etc. I need to post a picture at some point soon to demonstrate, I think.
