HOCKEY! Also, skating! And wow, that DJ is definitely cooler than any of the guys who do music at our rink. We tend to get the Veronicas and Britney Spears and Rihanna over and over and over again. Also, you had basically the coolest weekend ever. I aspire to a weekend like that, at some point. I have friends who need to be educated in the ways of Star Wars.
Also, it's awesome that you're not allergic to wasps, both in a general sense and in relation to that specific incident. (Hey, you remember all my whining about my formal? When we got back afterwards and there were something like twenty people in my house, I managed to sit on a wasp. I was running around cursing as people arrived with their dates. It was awkward.)
Indeeeeeeed! And, well, we had all of that stuff a LOT, and then we were like "omg cannot take it let's go see if they have anything OLDER with a bassline" and they had one Who song. (Baba O'Riley. Labelled on the system as Teenage Wasteland, but hey, beggars are not choosers. :D) But there was much rejoicing, yes. And, dude, yes, you neeeeeed to educate people re: Star Wars (the good bits, anyway). I must admit I was on serious MST mode for the whole thing, but I mock out of love!
And, yesss, I agree. :D (Oh, honey, OWW and yikes, and I don't think anyone would blame you, really. Because EEEEK. *sympathetic wince*)
(I keep telling people it's called Baba O'Riley! And no one believes me. My life - so hard!) Mocking out of love is acceptable, and understandable in most parts. It's so cheesy! And for whatever reason, the cheesiness seems worse in the early episodes. (As in, the most recent ones, episdoes 1-3.)
(It ruined my perfect elegance and poise, though.)
(People don't believe you? Philistines!) And, heee, exactly. And oh god, they're not even properly cheesy, they're just- bad. Um. It's a Button for me. George Lucas going nuts hurt my souuuuuuuuuuul.
Heidi sort of...diffidently asked if she was meant to be hearing that, part way through a New Hope, and the rest of us were all "*snort* *listen more closely* OH MY GOD IT EXPLAINS SO MUCH!" Oh, John Williams. HEE.
I did, yes, thank you! Although I keep remembering at work we haven't actually booked anywhere exactly for dinner yet - I'll go back through my email in a tick, but did you have a specific suggestion of restaurant at all, or should we do the equivalent of tossing darts at a yellow pages?
You know, I love seeing your comments on fics that you made long before I knew you, or even just recently; it makes me want to stop and say, "Hi, friend!"
