I just realised, I'm not sure if I still have the right cell number for you, so- happy birthday, amphibious_one, and I hope you're having a marvellous and exciting (in only the good ways!) day. Has been far too long since I've seen you, we must catch up somehow soon. *is determined to get to the south island again this year some time ( Read more... )

AHAHAHAHA!!! I WHIPPED YOUR ARSE!!!

Not only did I watch 4 discs of Life On Mars. (Yes, the entire first season. Shut up) which... maybe sorta doesn't count because it's two eps a disc. BUT. I watched an entire disc of Damages, and I want DANGER MONEY or something because they put 5 eps to a disc and it's just NOT FAIR.

(I get my laptop back tomorrow! Yay!)

Um. You did music pimping, so... ficlet?

You have smote me, and mightily so! Cos, dude.

And, wow, yeah, that does sound like a LOT, with Damages, and it being so intense and all. Dude.

(YAY! That is most excellent news indeed!)

Any particular requests/suggestions in the way of guidance, there (I will probably try to write it at lunch or on the plane, I think), or what? (It's going to end up being bandom no matter what, of course. I think we have all come to the conclusion that that much is inevitable, y? *giggle*)

OKAY

Either Pete/Mikey (cross over fic!) or.

Hmmm. AU. I have read awesome AUs in bandom recently.

What about Pete is a farmer and Mikey's the delivery guy from the local store (And by local store I mean farming supplies) or.

Hmm. Pete as a swimcoach, and Mikey's been asked to take up swimming for health reasons?

Hrrrrrrrrrm. I will for sure ponder along those lines! And Pete/Mikey in general makes me go <33333 so that's aspect is pretty likely to work out, at least. *puts serious thought towards this*

Two of my students were arguing today (quite heatedly in fact, it continued post-tute even) about the correct chemical make-up of WWI mustard gas and drawing all these complicated chemistry type diagram thingos. As i zoned out and wondered whether to remind them this was a history tutorial, I thought, hey Claire would know this :) So yay for you getting to do fun chemical stuff today, you way brainy sciency person you.

(Why yes i did stop all science after failing 6th form physics quite badly, how could you tell? ;)

bassists mmmmmmm *drools*

come to the south island! we have um *thinks hard* snow? statues of robbie burns? rioting students? :)

Hrrrrrrrrm. I should actually know that, but I totally don't remember right now. Interesting thing to get so heated about, though. *grin* And, heeee. And naw, really, this stuff wasn't that brainy at all, but it was a nice change from "measure x, y, x"!

(I think that's fair! 6th form physics was HARD, dude, yes.)

mmmmmmmmm, what you said.

i totally want to! ...eek! hrm. urk! (in that order. :D) but there are totally lots of exciting things down there, i do know this! and coffee solves most of the issues with the first and last things you mention there, at least. ;)

Fair play, it was more a chemistry-you reaction. Seriously, if these geeky guys didn't know it exactly i'd be surprised if anyone does! ;)

(It really was, i'm sure the fact i left the final exam half way through didn't help ;)

mmmmmmmmmmm

we have coffee!!! really, really good coffee with friendly cute baristas. And um we have a fairly decent Italian restaurant and good jewelry shops. oooo and penguins and albatrosses and stuff.

must.......go....mark.........assigns :( night.

NO. NO POLAR BEARS.

I mean. Not that I nearly bought a stuffed one when I saw it the other day or anything.

*giggles like mad*

The closest I've seen is a giant polar bear on the side of a refrigerated truck. Bah.

...chemistry. Remind me what that's like. I've almost forgotten what chemistry IS. *pouts*

Ah, nuts.

There are liquids! And powders! And when you combine them they turn different colours or emit heat and sometimes they might EXPLODE! ...or so I hear. *snugs you and hopes you will get to rediscover soon* (And I just finished my last tab, so emailing in a sec, pertinently-ish!)

It's likely to be the right one: it hasn't changed in forever.

Thought of you tonight while watching Firefly. Gosling-juggling may have been mentioned.

I didn't think it had, and thank you for the reassurance on that, Matt.

*grins* HOORAY. Oh, Firefly. So so so much love.
