Plausibility. We don't need no stinkin' plausibility!

Apparently work leads me to pastures of appalling crack, because we were driving around this morning and I happened to think idly (god. knows. WHY) "gosh, you know what? if Superman had arrived on earth in the late nineties then he wouldn't have crash-landed on the flaming meteorite thingy in a field in Kansas or wherever it was, he would of course ( Read more... )

You want to hear something really, really horrible that I am not at all proud of? If Rodney/Jeannie shows up on my flist, I'll read it. And it'll probably be bad, so I'll hate myself for having crossed the line for something bad. And then I'll whine at you about it. And then you'll mock me.

...is it totally wrong that I am ALREADY laughing at you? This is your comeuppance, young lady! It really is!

Though, having said what I did above I would probably prefer said Jeannie/Vala (or, okay, Jeannie/almost anyone *is easy* *no one is shocked*) to be AUish in that i feel bad because her husband is fricking awesome and adorable too, so.)

But, um, yeah. I think your prediction is probably bang on. (Though oddly, I probably wouldn't read it at this point. The thought makes me come over all OTP-ish which is odd, hrm.)

I can't help it. It's not that I *want* to, exactly, it's just that I think the draw would pull me in without regard to my safety or sanity.

But, yeah, I'm kind of feeling Jeannie/anyone right now. Jeannie/Radek! Jeannie/John! Jeannie/Elizabeth! Jeannie/Sam!

I can respect being unable to resist the appeal of McKays. Or Hewletts. Whichever.

Jeannie/Sam omgyes. I was thinking that at the beginning of the episode and then I read some random Vala fic and went back to going "ooh, Claudia Black" and got distracted. As one does. But I could so go for that too. GIRLS YAYE.

I love the baby of steel raised by Fraser. God, it will have no sense of personal safety and... It's a great idea, even before we get to Ma trying to feed the brat... *first insane grin of day*

Are we sure Fraser wasn't a baby of steel himself? The 'born in a barn' story would be a very good cover for actually being from space.

I may have considered something similar earlier actually, too. Very very good point, really.

And there ARE all the jokes about him "not being from this planet" &c.

Now, that is a good one. A really good one.

And in such an isolated place? No interfering doctors etc...

I love: 1. this entire post; b. the bit about the death of the fourth Riv and the Baby of Steel in particular; thirdly, the threads this post has inspired; No.4 your icon, which is gleeful!

Thank you kindly. *resumes looking busy*

*griiiin* *twirls you* thank you! And, just, yes. I thought "flaming meteorite!" and of course it has to be the Riv it hits. I mean, it's practically a secondary law of physics! *g* (Also: kinda funny in view of - did you hear? - the meteorite that hit the South Island today.)

The icon is sort of the ultimate "funny cos it's true" - and I bogarted onto brooklinegirl's "post as someone else" day thing and Kat had that as a line in her post as "me" and, just... I was sort of on the floor giggling at how true it is.

*applauds your busy-looking-ness and hands you extra papers to shuffle and contact lenses to wear which reveal said papers to contain mystic prints of Certain Canadians*

*grin* Sometimes I can't help myself... though it helps a lot when Buzzy and Chris do all the heavy thinking on them for me, too. :D
