I have an interview thing tomorrow, technically with the temp agency, but mostly for this particular data entry job I saw on their website. I was under the impression it was a nice "yay you type fast we will leave you in peace and no other humans to deal with hardly ever" type of thing, but having spoken to the lady about it apparently there's a ( Read more... )

Um, yeah. It was really weird and okay, you know I'm normally pro-Turnbull in a "as long as I don't have to think about him shagging anyone" type of way but that was just... odd.

Yeah, same here. But, I think spandex kind of crosses that line. I love Turnbull. Really do. But NOT in spandex.

In non-Turnbull-related news, good luck on both getting the job and not hating it. **snuggles madly**

I don't know any particular tutorials, but if I can use Powerpoint, you can. And if Megan can, you definitely can (not casting aspersions, but she's not as comfortable with computers as us, let's say). And you're good at both the typing and the interactions, so stop talking yourself down. Good luck!

...that is actually vey comforting, thank you. I just hope they'd be willing to give me an opportunity to get up to speed instead of being omgEXPERT from the very start. Thanks!

And, mum is gonna come with us tomorrow to the Sarah Waters thing, so once I get ahold of the people at the shop (who are Not Answering their Phones) I'll let you know when we'll pick you up/where from/whatever.

I heart your current music!

And good luck on the job! I'll have to call you sometime this week to start actual planning for NZ. I can't believe it's so soon. !

Powerpoint is supereasy, and if you've got that function on your compie or one you've access to, just play around with it. At its simplest form, it's typing things in and hitting "slideshow." The help function is fairly worthless, though.

*hugs* If it's right for you, I hope you get it.

I sure hope so. I'll have a look if we have it on this computer but I suspect not. And, drat, because so far my best idea was "reading entire help file".

*hugs back* Thank you, and I hope so too because, um, it pays very well. VERY well.

You know the dancing paperclip? Yeah, that's the help function in its entirety. And it will not answer "HOW DOES THIS WORK?"

One thing you might try is googling other people's PPs. If you download the file, you can see how all the slides are built.
