Greek Soup anonymous February 6 2010, 14:36:57 UTC
Tara,

I'm sorry I hung up on you. I thought you said Tire, and thinking with all the snow someone was trying to get a hold of service.

You made Greek Soup. Nana says great. Now the torch is passed and we look forward to when you get back to Tara's Greek Soup.

Haha, that's okay! I'll call you about it later, no worries.

I'm glad I figured it out. It was a bit of a production, but it worked and was very good.

It's like a rice porridge with a tart lemon and chicken taste to it. To me it tastes like home and my childhood. It's just so awesome. Especially since the people I made it with liked it too, makes me happy. :3

Wow, that sounds really nice. And it's lovely to share food like that and make other people happy with it. You rule :D

It's pretty awesome. I would share the recipe, but I think the ONLY reason I got it right is because I know what it's supposed to taste like and know how big to make it. It's really one of those recipes that has no real recipe.

Maybe someday I will have an opportunity to cook for you! 8D Man, I wish there was a way I could get a kitchen ro feed all the people that I know in England when I visit next Winter. Boo.

Congratulations! You're an initiate into the secret inner circle of your family's special recipes! That's most excellent.

I KNOW it's kind of CRAZY.

Now if I could only take a week and live with my Greek relatives and LEARN MORE I would be set.

FOR LIFE.

HAHAHAHA holy crap WHERE DO YOU LIVE? It would be hilarious if you lived in the same town/area that my friend that I am visiting lives in. XDD I have no idea how much time I will have for this trip until August (it's possible I would know sooner, depends on when I get a job), but yeah. My plan is to spend Christmas with friends in Spain, then New Years in England. I WILL BE POOR but I figure staying with friends will be cheap!
