Is it even possible to apologize for something you did when you, in all technicalities, weren't quite yourself? Can one be held accountable for that sort of behavior? I suppose I ought to start it off in a desire to retract the previous weekend from everyone's memory. Particularly the wig and general elitist behavior. The clothes I am on the fence ( Read more... )

Being temporarily reprogrammed into actin' differently's a funny thing. Might not be completely responsible yourself, but that sour taste sticks with ya' for a while, whether you like it or not. [Voice has a clear apathetic and matter-of-fact tone.]

Reprogrammed? Certainly one way to put it. In any case, it seems it would be a good way to put it. I don't necessarily lay claim to the actions but there you have it.

You got a better word for it? Also, I ain't giving you a shoulder, just laying the facts down.

Me, if I'm ever made to do that again, someone's gonna die. Did get a new language programmed in out of the deal, though. Un autre pour la collecte.

Manipulation, I would propose, but reprogramming works just as well. And I'm not looking for something to get weepy on.

Who would you even target, then?

A collection, is it? What else do you know?

Good to hear of it. Did you find a cobbler for your shoe?

Yes. I must have fallen very strangely for it to break.

[There's a pause]

Thank you for taking me to the hospital. I trust it wasn't a bother.

It's not very like you to lose your balance.

It was a non-issue. It wouldn't do for me to lose my employer, after all.

At the time. Right now I'm feeling a case of secondary embarrassment for myself.

But not for your clothes, you got some messed up priorities, dude.

What's to be embarrassed about clothing over behavior?

Yeah, I think we'd all appreciate it if that particular curse was never spoken of again.

You can't tell me you didn't have a bit of fun with it.

As far as curses go, this one was relatively tame.

Though I admit even that is all rather relative, depending on what you were about.

Not hardly so lucky to be tame, but I certainly wasn't throwing cups to the floor.

Well that's something.

Considering that it was a curse, I feel apologies don't hurt but similarly there's no point in furthered blame or guilt, you not having been in control of whatever it is the curse compelled you to believe, do, say, or feel.

It seems, regardless, the appropriate thing to do - being that on the other side there was someone still affected by it, logical explanation or otherwise. [ For good people, anyway. ]
