He had always been a light sleeper. Not even death could change that - and soon he became uncomfortably aware of the cold metal he was laid out on. Under the buzz of half-unconsciousness, he could hear something along the lines of a groan. Still, it took longer than it might have if it were normal sleep for him to rouse. Death was always a bit different. He never seemed to react as quick

Despite everything, Chris gave Ray a smile. "Keep meeting up here, don't we?" It was a strangely true joke. He took another drink of tea before setting his cup down. "They left your clothes and tea again. Think they always do."

Since Ray was awake and his body was feeling less like he'd gone on a binge - and damn getting used to alcohol yet again - Chris slid down off the slab. He started grabbing his clothes and haphazardly tugging them on, not caring too much about looks at the moment.

"Aye. Startin' to think you're followin' me 'round." He reached out to grab his tea. Maybe he'd get up in a minute or two when he was sure that he wouldn't fall over, and that he could react better than some halfwit. "And yeah, noticed that. Guess I appreciate it. Be a right pain in the arse if the kicked you out without even lettin' you put on your trousers."

Trousers that Ray would put on in a few minutes, but right now, no, he was going to sit there and drink his damn tea, cold, uncomfortable metal or not. He was not going to suffer Chris giggling at him if he tripped, damnit! Plus, it wasn't like Chris hadn't seen him undressed before anyway.

"Pretty annoying, that one."

He was dressed up through his trousers now and idly pulling on a shirt. He wasn't in any real hurry but it was still a little cold. The tea helped. Chris took another drink of it before working on buttoning up.

"Yeah, whole bloody mess is annoying. Gonna only take a pint to knock us down."

Ray slid off the slab and grabbed his own trousers, and began to yank them on. "Thinkin' this is their way of hintin' we need to stop drinkin' and smoking, ya know?" He didn't fancy trying to get used to smoking again. He hated coughing so much. So, so, so much.

"...Guv's probably gonna chew us out for keelin' over." That was another thing he wasn't looking forward to. "If he noticed, anyway."

He zipped up the fly, then went for his belt.
