Any other day, she would have been able to hear Sam as he came down the steps and would have been ready to greet him before he had even made it to her. But with blood still oozing slowly from the wound on her stomach, her body was doing all it could to patch that up externally and internally before she simply bled out. It was a failing of her anatomy--her blood had no coagulating agents. Because, really, why would you need them if your flesh just knitted itself back together and healed? It was really only problematic when her injuries weren't healing as fast as they usually should ( ... )

"The driver is SS-Obersturmführer Karl Hoecker and sitting in the back are Commandant Richard Baer and SS-Oberaufseherin Maria Mandel," she paused before continuing. She tried to keep her voice level and even, but she couldn't help how her voice suddenly sounded less confident, "--and in the floor in the back is SS-Hauptsturmführer Josef Mengele."

Her eyes turned to the ground briefly, but in the moment of uncomfortable silence, she stood from the car. Her hand rested heavily on the door as she used it to help her stand and get to the ground.

After announcing their names, especially Josef's, there was almost no need to know the charges, but Diva knew Sam. He would probably want them anyways. "Ah, but for charges, it's fairly obvious, but I'll say it anyways. War crimes and homicide that they could be accountable for on the scale of hundreds, if not thousands. It's hard to keep track, ist es nicht?Diva opened motioned for Hoecker to get out, but continued to speak to Sam. "Ah, and by the way, Josef speaks English very well. He'll ( ... )

It was bad enough Tyler insisted on using that damn mobile he'd handed Gene what seemed forever ago, but when the div didn't even bother waiting for him to pick up, it tended to leave Gene in something of a pissy rage. Especially when said message leaving occurred during beer o'clock. By the time Gene had the chance to get to the phone, Sam had all ready left his message -- cryptic as it was.

But it involved Diva, and that was never good.

Rounding up Ray and Chris took all of three short barks and then he was hightailing it back to CID, the Cortina's wheels screeching around corners. Gene wasn't especially in a hurry, it was his normal driving, but he was still fuming by the time he pulled up near where he could see Diva getting out of a car, chatting it up with Tyler. A quick look at the scene suggested more was going on than immediately apparent, and the Guv grunted, getting out of his car and marching over to where his DI and the vampire stood.

"The hell happened here?"

Ray had been in the middle of a drinking contest with Chris (and Clyde, but Clyde was doing terrible that round, and no one really cares about the background detectives so his mention was less required than that of Chris') when Gene had barked at the lot of them. Ray wasn't particularly pleased, but he shoved a note at Nelson and headed out with his guv ( ... )

Diva looked up as Gene, Ray and Chris arrived. It was fairly hard to ignore, considering Gene's driving. He looked less than pleased, too. Secretly, she had also brought them to CID because she thought that Gene, being Gene, would likely be glad to take them. It would mean that he got to hurt them, but Diva didn't really care so much about that.

So she waited to reply, instead holding out her hand to help Hoecker down. He hesitated to take her hand, understandably, but it was a better alternative than having to awkwardly step out of the car and potentially fall. Once he was out, she glanced back to Gene, though, again, the uniform of the man that had stepped out would likely make it quite obvious.

"Ne, you just missed my explanation, Gene. I brought four people that I'd like arrested, and I think CID would...do the best job," she said. Of course she didn't care about how good of a job they did, nor did she really have other options. It sounded nice, though, didn't it?
